News of Tiffany Young and actor Byun Yo-han’s recent marriage registration has sparked renewed interest in some of the actor’s past interactions with fellow stars.
Shortly after reports confirmed that the couple had officially registered their marriage in late February, online communities began revisiting old clips and interviews involving Byun Yo-han. A particular moment from the talk show Salon Drip 2 recently went viral again on social media.
The clip features Byun Yo-han and actress Shin Hye-sun, who starred together in the drama The Art of Sarah. During the show, the two actors talked about their conversations on KakaoTalk while promoting the project.
Shin Hye-sun revealed that before filming the program, Byun Yo-han sent her a message late at night. According to her, he asked her how she was as they prepared for promotional activities. After she responded by asking about his condition, the actor responded that he was “completely drunk.” However, he explained that the message quickly disappeared before he could respond.
Afterwards, he sent another message saying something like “Great! Let’s work together and have fun promoting.” Shin Hye-sun joked that she had already seen the original message before it was deleted.
Byun Yo-han later explained on the show why he suddenly deleted the message. He said that after he finished work that day he participated in an inevitable drinking session. While he wrote that he was drunk, he clarified that the reason he deleted the message was not the words themselves but an emoji he added later. In his opinion, the emoji made the tone overly playful or flirtatious, which seemed out of character, so he quickly removed it.
Shin Hye-sun also teased him about another SMS-related incident from the past. While exchanging encouraging messages during promotions, Byun Yo-han accidentally reacted with a heart emoji to one of his messages. Realizing the mistake, he reportedly panicked and immediately sent another message explaining that he had pressed the heart by accident and didn’t even know how to remove it.
During the conversation, host Jang Do-yeon asked why the actor seemed so worried about accidentally sending a heart reaction. Byun Yo-han humorously responded that the reaction didn’t match his feelings at the time, joking that he also rarely uses heart emojis with his mother.
The clip attracted renewed attention in part because it occurred during the time that Byun Yo-han and Tiffany were reportedly getting close while filming the drama Uncle Samsik. Some online commentators believe that his cautious behavior in messages with Shin Hye-sun shows that he was trying to maintain clear boundaries with colleagues while his relationship with Tiffany was developing.
