In the September 6 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Convenience Store Restaurant”, Kim Jaejoong visits his parents’ house on his day off. Despite his busy schedule, Jaejoong is known to always think of his parents, and the deep love between Kim Jaejoong, the youngest of nine siblings, and his parents is expected to bring warmth and emotion to viewers.
In the VCR segment of the episode, Kim Jaejoong is seen arriving at his parents’ house with gifts in both hands. His parents enthusiastically came out to greet him, their eyes full of joy. What caught the eye next was Kim Jaejoong’s family home. First revealed on the show, the house is a huge four-story mansion, including an underground garage. It features a giant garage in the basement, a first floor with 7-meter-high ceilings, a second floor with a large resort-style terrace, and a third floor with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, enough to accommodate the large family. Aside from the size, what stood out most were the details that reflected Jaejoong’s filial love. The house, estimated to be worth around 6 billion won, was a gift from Kim Jaejoong to his parents, and he was deeply involved in the design process to ensure every detail was perfect for them. A home elevator was installed so his elderly parents could easily move between floors, and the house also features a spacious bathroom and a hinoki sauna tailored to their needs. The kitchen was designed to accommodate his mother’s small height, demonstrating Jaejoong’s thoughtful consideration.
What was even more touching was Kim Jaejoong’s affectionate and playful behavior towards his parents during his stay. Adopted by his current parents at the age of four, Jaejoong reflected, “When I was little, our family was happy but not financially well off. So, I always wanted that when I became financially stable, I would build my parents a big and beautiful house..” He revealed that he spent more than a year meticulously building the house for them.
