During the March 5 broadcast of Mnet’s rap survival show Show me the money 12the 20 remaining rappers finalized their teams with four sets of producers before starting the highly anticipated song mission.
The first performance revealed was “No Manners” by the team led by Lil Moshpit and Park Jinyoung. The stage began with DKAY’s powerful rapping before Zene The Zilla and Tray B threw down a lively back and forth flow. Flowsik also attracted attention with a rapping style reminiscent of Eminem. JEFFREY WHITE, who had previously received mixed reactions, this time impressed the spectators with a stronger performance and energetic screams that helped to complete the stage.
Despite a strong performance, DKAY was ultimately eliminated. Park Jinyoung explained the decision by saying: “He is very nice, but it seemed like he had already shown everything he could show at this point.” Lil Moshpit also added that since the program only allows one winner, they had to pick the player who had the biggest advantage moving forward.
DKAY shared his thoughts after the elimination, saying that he gained valuable experience during the show. Park Jinyoung also praised the rapper, noting that it was impressive for someone who had little recognition in the scene to reach this stage of the competition.
Another team performance followed with J-Tong and the Hukky Shibaseki team introducing the song “Money Checks.” The stage featured a catchy beat and highlighted each member’s individuality. Fleeky Bang provided sharp rap verses while NOWIMYOUNG provided a memorable chorus. Royal 44 added a stylish singing-rap section, Double Down brought strong energy and Young Shooter impressed with confident rap delivery.
However, Young Shooter was eliminated after the stage. Hukky explained that the rapper still seemed unprepared for the next stage of the competition. The younger Shurr expressed gratitude for the experience, saying that meeting new people and gaining knowledge through the show made the trip meaningful.
Gray and the Loco team also revealed their stage for the track “SSAK,” which carried the message of completely blowing away money. The performance began with OXYNOVA’s calm rapping before MASON HOME expanded the energy of the stage. MILLI stood out with a steady, satisfying flow, while Foggyatthebottom added a rough charisma. The stage ended on a high with Kwon OSUN’s solid rap performance.
Despite the excellent stage, Oxy Nova was selected as the team’s elimination candidate. Gray explained that while each member had a unique style, Oxy Nova had slightly less impact than the others. The rapper shared that he felt happy and comfortable during the show and was grateful for the new friendships he made.
Finally, the team of Zico and Crush performed the song “TICK TOCK”, attracting the attention of the spectators. Strong contender HAON opened the stage with an intense presence, followed by Raf Sandou’s unusual style performance. Nosun delivered tight rap verses, while Marv brought a new energy to the stage. The performance ended with Jung Junhyuk’s energetic rapping.
After the stage, Nosun was dropped from the team. Reflecting on his journey, he said the experience helped him grow significantly and that he had no regrets, adding with a smile, “If I did my best, this would be life.”
