During the March 4 broadcast of Take the block quiz (episode 333), Yoon Hee Jun appeared as a guest and shared insights from her 22-year career developing idol trainees at SM Entertainment.
When asked if she sometimes has to send interns home despite their efforts, Yoon explained that she tries to remove emotions from those conversations. “I usually speak very objectively on purpose,” he said. “No matter how you say it, it’s still a rejection. Embarrassing consolation doesn’t really mean anything, so I just tell them the facts clearly.”
However, she admitted that one of the trainees who remained close to her heart was Ejae, the composer behind the OST “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters.
“Even for someone like me, Ejae left an indelible memory,” Yoon reminded. “When she appeared You quizhe said he cried on the way home after learning his contract had been terminated. I was the one who told her that news, so seeing that story later made me feel really heavy.”
She added that he had encouraged her then too, saying he would be successful no matter what path he chose. After she left the company, they continued to keep in touch. “He also told me, ‘Sister, I’m moving on.’ You quiz,’” he shared warmly.

Praising Ejae’s personality, Yoon said, “If the stagecoach was transformed into a person, it would be her. I call her by her Korean name, Eun Jae, and it honestly feels like this kind of success was something she was always meant to achieve.”
Ejae previously revealed that she trained with SM Entertainment for 12 years, from the age of 11 in 2003 until the age of 23 in 2015, before finally leaving the company and forging her own path in music.
