Jeon Somi revisits her “Baby Days” with IOI and teases their 10th anniversary reunion

On February 28, Somi posted several photos on her social media account along with the caption: “Domestic producers, you missed us, didn’t you?” a playful reference to the viewers who voted for the group’s birth ten years ago.

The images shared captured moments from 10 years ago when Somi was actively promoting with IOI. Dressed in matching white stage outfits, the members gathered backstage, posing closely with a youthful and fresh charm that immediately attracted attention. The photos showed their innocent image and vibrant energy during their debut.

In addition to group shots, Somi has uploaded selfies, playful behind-the-scenes moments, conceptual photoshoots from IOI’s albums, promotion snapshots, and memories from their successful concerts. The collection of images has sparked a wave of nostalgia among longtime fans.

Member Yoo Yeonjung reacted emotionally in the comments, writing, “Look at us… it’s crazy,” expressing his affection for their shared memories. Fans also flooded the post with heartfelt responses like “They were all so young” “I really want to go to the concert” “We’ve waited so long” AND “IOI Revival” showing huge anticipation for the group’s return.

The IOI will reunite this May for a special 10th anniversary project. Excluding Zhou Jieqiong and Kang Mina, who previously announced that they would not participate, nine members Lim Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon and Jeon Somi are expected to take part in the commemorative activities.

Formed in 2016 through Mnet’s Survival program Produce 101The IOI debuted in May of that year after being selected via national vote. The group quickly became famous with hit songs such as “Dream girls”, “What the hell,” “Very very very” AND “Downpour,” gaining widespread popularity both nationally and internationally.

Although IOI officially ended operations in January 2017 after their final concert, the members have since built successful careers in music, acting and variety entertainment. Now, a decade later, Somi’s nostalgic post has reignited the excitement as fans eagerly await the group’s long-awaited reunion.
