According to Sports Seoul on February 15, a post titled “KakaoTalk messages shared by a parent from the same school as Lee Boo-jin” recently surfaced in an online community. The post included a screenshot purportedly showing a conversation between Lee and another parent, which was later shared on Instagram.
In the conversation, the parent inquired about booking hotel packages, specifically asking for access to the swimming pool. Lee Boo-jin responded in a composed and polite tone, carefully explaining the schedule, cabana reservation status, and availability. He reportedly added: “Do not hesitate to contact me in case of any inconvenience.”
When the parent responded with compliments such as, “How can you speak so well?” AND “I became a big fan,” Lee responded humbly, saying: “It’s just something I should do.” She also reacted modestly to praise about her appearance, reportedly responding: “Pretty? At my age…” The tone of the exchange surprised many netizens, who were impressed by his helpful and thoughtful demeanor.
The post quickly gained traction, sparking a wave of reactions online. Comments included, “Even a chaebol engages in daily social interactions,” “If he responds so kindly, that says a lot.” AND “His way of speaking is so refined.”
Meanwhile, Lee Boo-jin is currently president of Hotel Shilla and president of the Visit Korea Committee. He attended the opening ceremony of the Korea Grand Sale in Seoul’s Myeongdong district last December, according to Yonhap News Agency coverage. His son, Lim Dong-hyun, recently graduated from Whimoon High School in Seoul and was accepted into Seoul National University.
