On KBS 1TV’s February 9th broadcast Hometown ReportNo Min Woo appeared together with youth association leader Son Heon Soo as they visited Jo-eup 1-ri village in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The episode followed the two as they provided hairdressing services and helped with various jobs for the village’s elderly residents.
Appearing in the studio, No Min Woo shared that he had long admired the warmth with which Son Heon Soo treated the elderly and how much he was loved by them. He explained that he had always hoped to bring joy to the elderly if given the chance, and when the opportunity arose, he happily joined the volunteer effort.
Before starting the hair services, No Min Woo carefully set up a refreshment table to welcome the seniors, setting a thoughtful and respectful tone for the day. Son Heon Soo explained the purpose of the visit, noting that it can be difficult for elderly people to travel during the cold winter months just to get a haircut. As the Lunar New Year approached, they wanted to help the elderly look neat and feel good.
Once styling began, No Min Woo put his heart into the work. She not only cut and dyed her hair, but also gently washed it, showing meticulous care throughout the process. His surprisingly skillful hands, especially during relaxing scalp massages, evoked admiration and applause from spectators. The constant flow of elderly “customers” kept the atmosphere lively and warm, with smiles filling the makeshift lounge.
Meanwhile, Son Heon Soo added a special touch by offering manicure services to grandmothers. One clearly happy older woman joked that her children might not even recognize her later, expressing her deep satisfaction.
Through this unexpected yet sincere act of service, No Min Woo revealed a new side of himself, defined not by glamour, but kindness, leaving viewers and villagers alike touched by his genuine dedication and warmth.
