On February 2, BTS left for Portugal via Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for an overseas schedule. Notably, it marked the first time in nearly four years that all members were seen together at the airport, attracting massive attention from fans around the world.
While in Portugal, V was spotted enjoying a quiet moment at a bakery with sour specialties. A fan working in the store recognized him immediately but chose not to approach him, later explaining that they wanted to respect both V’s privacy and their job responsibilities.
The fan later shared a photo with V on social media, writing, “I just met Taehyung and he seems so unreal it’s like he was created by artificial intelligence. I still can’t believe it.” In the photo, V smiles warmly with his hand naturally resting on the fan’s shoulder, while the fan smiles brightly at the camera.
According to the fan’s story, while his manager ordered pastéis de nata and Coke Zero, V casually looked around the store and took photos of the tarts. As he was about to leave, the fan said softly: “Goodbye, Taehyung,” but at first he did not hear them. After the manager relayed the message, V turned around, smiled and replied: “Hi, thanks.”

Just when the meeting seemed over, V returned to the store to get some napkins. At that moment he hugged the fan lightly and said: “A thousand thanks.” When the fan shared that they had been in ARMY for nine years and planned to attend BTS’ concert in Madrid, V surprised them by first asking: “Would you like to take a photo together?”
The fan recalled that V continued to smile until the end, thanking him heartily and saying goodbye affectionately before leaving. The mutual respect between a fan who graced a star’s space and an artist who reached out to him with genuine kindness has since become a story dear to fans, perfectly capturing why V’s human touch continues to resonate so deeply.
