IVE has released stunning concept photos for the theme “CHALLENGERS” ahead of their second album, “REVIVE+,” arriving on February 23rd.
The six-member girl group, consisting of An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz and Lee Seo, revealed the photos via their official social media channels on February 3. The new images showcase each member’s distinct personality through poster-style imagery paired with bold typography and confident messaging.
In the individual concept photos, each member appears next to a unique phrase that underlines their charm. An Yu-jin radiates sophistication with the lyrics “YOU KNOW, EVERYONE IS DYING TO FIND OUT,” while Gaeul makes a confident statement saying “IT’S A LITTLE OFFENSIVE, BUT AUTUMN HAPPENS ALL YEAR ROUND.”
The images show the members in different contexts ranging from natural environments to modern architecture, underlining IVE’s signature visual sensibility, according to allkpop.
Conceptual group photos reveal a bolder transformation. Set in a rugged concrete space with striking color contrasts, the members display an understated charisma as they pose together. The visual concept hints at the direction the members will take with their next album, fusing elements of Western aesthetics with contemporary Y2K sensibilities.
These concept photos follow IVE’s previous release of a concept film “CHALLENGERS” on January 31st. The teaser video showed the members in various settings holding everyday objects such as apples and tea, creating an intriguing narrative that builds anticipation for the album’s plot.
The concept film emphasized tension through color tone and sound design, positioning the theme around a powerful concept of return, Soompi reported.
Ahead of the album’s release, IVE will share their pre-release single “BANG BANG” on February 9 at 6 PM KST across all music streaming platforms. A preview of the track’s audio and choreography was shared on TikTok on February 2, highlighting a fast-paced beat with intense and aggressive performance elements. The pre-release track marks IVE’s first look at their new musical direction.
The album itself will be available in 10 different physical versions, including multiple concept editions and member-specific digipacks, giving collectors a range of options. IVE has already begun to build momentum through a series of teaser releases, including “COMING SOON” films and “SPOILERS ALERT” content that gradually revealed information about their return.
With “REVIVE+” the group aims to expand their musical reach on the global stage. IVE continues their second international “SHOW WHAT I AM” world tour, with upcoming concert dates scheduled in Japan at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 18 and 19, as per chosun.
