UNIS (Jin Hyeon-ju, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Ellysia, Oh Yoon-ah, Lim Seo-won) won the “Female Idol (Rookie)” award at the “2024 Brand of the Year Awards” held on August 3,
This award is especially significant because the winners of each category are directly selected by consumers across the country. Through a public vote conducted from July 8 to 21, UNIS was chosen as the “2024 Female Idol (Rookie)”, cementing her position as an emerging artist in the spotlight.
Through their agency, F&F Entertainment, UNIS expressed their gratitude, saying, “We are incredibly grateful to receive such a significant award just six months after our debut. We will work hard to present even better music and performances in the future.”
Since their debut, UNIS has achieved considerable success, which is unusual for a fledgling idol group. Their debut album “WE UNIS”, released last March, ranked eighth in first-week sales among all-time debut albums by a girl group. Additionally, they have made notable appearances on various domestic and international music charts, demonstrating their strong momentum.
Furthermore, their recent release, their first single album ‘CURIOUS’, reached a career high for the group. Shortly after the release of ‘CURIOUS’, UNIS topped the iTunes charts in five countries and their first-week sales surpassed that of their previous album, proving their impressive growth.
