Gong Seung-yeon shares the touching behind-the-scenes story of being one of three sisters

Ahead of the film’s release Number OneGong Seung-yeon appeared on a live broadcast on YouTube Channel Fifteen Nights on January 29, alongside co-stars Choi Woo-shik and Jang Hye-jin. The trio met with producer Na Young-seok to talk about the upcoming film and their personal lives.

During the broadcast, Gong Seung-yeon revealed: “There are three daughters in my family. I am the eldest and the youngest is Jeongyeon, who is currently promoting herself as a member of TWICE.”

Na Young-seok reacted with surprise, pointing out that both her older and younger sisters are celebrities, and asked about the middle sister. Gong Seung-yeon responded honestly, saying that it must have been difficult at times, especially during family gatherings. “During the holidays people would ask, ‘Why didn’t big sister come?’ or ‘Why didn’t Jeongyeon come?’” he recalled.

She added that because everyone focused on the famous siblings, the middle sister might feel neglected. However, Gong Seung-yeon pointed out that time has helped heal those feelings. “Time really helps. She’s found her place and moved past it. And as sisters, we’ve tried to be especially thoughtful and supportive of her,” he shared.

In the meantime, Number Onewhich will be released on February 11, tells the story of Hamin (played by Choi Woo-shik), who begins to see the numbers decrease every time he eats his mother’s food. When he realizes that reaching zero means his mother Eunsil (played by Jang Hye-jin) will die, he desperately tries to protect her from her fate.
