FT Island is extending its 20-year journey with FNC Entertainment. On January 29, FNC officially announced: “We have renewed our contract with FT Island, which has been with us since our founding and has played an important role in popularizing band music in the Hallyu wave. This renewal is especially significant since 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of FNC.”
Debuting in 2007, FT Island released numerous hit songs such as “Love Sick”, “Thunder”, “Until You Come Back”, “After Love”, “I Hope”, “Love Love Love”, “Severely”, “PRAY” and “Wind”, contributing to the mainstream appeal of the band’s music. Their debut in Japan was equally impactful, reaching a high ranking on the Oricon charts and solidifying their reputation as one of K-pop’s most important bands through international tours.
Last year, the band launched the “FTestination” project, showcasing their evolving musical direction through a series of digital singles. This project reaffirmed their identity as an active and ever-evolving band, not afraid to explore new musical territories.
FT Island continues to demonstrate their live performance prowess, headlining major national music festivals and consistently receiving invitations to perform at college festivals, a testament to their intergenerational appeal and enduring popularity.
In addition to group activities, the members have also pursued solo careers in acting, musicals and variety shows, demonstrating their versatility and individual strengths. Their continued growth both as a team and as individuals demonstrates their ability to thrive on all fronts.

FNC Entertainment plans to support FT Island’s future operations with a dedicated team and a comprehensive management system. The band shared, “We are grateful to continue this journey with FNC, a partner who has consistently supported and trusted us. Our relationship is one of mutual respect and deep appreciation.”
With this renewed partnership, FT Island is ready to embark on another chapter of its journey, promising exciting developments and new future milestones.
