During the one-on-one interaction, LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin encountered a fan who played a pre-recorded voice message instead of speaking directly. In the message, the individual criticized Yunjin for allegedly showing favoritism towards another fansite by performing special poses while claiming he was treated unfairly despite spending a significant amount of money supporting it.
The message escalated further when the individual released what many fans interpreted this as a threat, stating that if Yunjin’s behavior continued, they would stop supporting her and instead focus solely on their colleague Kazuha.
Throughout the call, Yunjin appeared visibly uncomfortable and upset but remained composed, listening to the message until the end and ending the interaction with a smile. A clip of the fan call later circulated widely on X (formerly Twitter), sparking widespread anger among fans.
Many fans condemned the individual’s behavior, noting that idols are not personal property and should not be subjected to emotional pressure or threats during interactions with fans. The incident also reignited criticism of fan calling systems that allow direct access to artists without sufficient safeguards.
In response, fans have called on Source Music to implement more rigorous screening processes for fan events, introduce real-time monitoring and blacklist people who engage in threatening or abusive behavior towards artists. At this time, Source Music has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
