On January 28, ADOR said, “If there are complaints, they should be discussed in court,” offering a brief official response to the press following Min Hee-jin’s emergency press conference that same day.
At 1pm on the same day, Min Hee-jin’s legal representative, lawyer Kim Sun-woong of Ziam Law Firm, held a press conference related to an ongoing damages lawsuit involving the former CEO of ADOR. The public’s attention was focused on whether or not Min Hee-jin herself would participate, but in the end she did not show up.
During the press conference, Min Hee-jin’s side reiterated that she had no intention of tampering with NewJeans, instead claiming that the dispute was the result of collusion between a NewJeans member’s family member and a specific company.
As supporting evidence, the legal team released text message conversations and audio recordings from 2024 to 2025 involving HYBE representatives, family members of members, and individuals associated with Davolink, a company they alleged was involved in stock market manipulation. Legal disputes involving Min Hee-jin remain ongoing. A ruling date of February 12 has been set in the shareholder agreement case between HYBE and Min Hee-jin.

During the press conference, questions were raised as to why Min Hee-jin’s team chose to hold an emergency press event at this time. In response, Kim Sun-woong explained that the narratives formed during 2024 and early 2025 have gradually been accepted as facts. He said Min Hee-jin had refrained from speaking publicly at the time out of consideration for her relationship with NewJeans members, but later decided to respond after concluding that the alleged tampering forces were also linked to stock market manipulation.
Meanwhile, all members of NewJeans have expressed their intention to return to ADOR. However, member Danielle’s exclusive contract has already been terminated, leaving her status separate from the rest of the group.
