ADOR’s former CEO Min Hee-jin did not attend the press conference scheduled for January 28, amid the ongoing “NewJeans tampering” controversy. Her legal representative explained that Min was too emotionally affected by recent developments involving the families of NewJeans members to appear publicly.
The press event, titled “The Truth Behind Min Hee-jin’s Tampering Allegations and Davolink’s Stock Market Manipulation: Who Is Destroying K-Pop and Enabling Market Upheaval?”, took place at 1pm in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Lawyer Kim Sun-woong of Jiam Law Firm, who represents Min Hee-jin, addressed the press on her behalf. “Min Hee-jin couldn’t attend today. There are several reasons, including issues regarding the families of NewJeans members. After hearing these matters, she was deeply shocked and found it too difficult to show up today,” Kim said.
Allegations of tampering against Min Hee-jin first surfaced in April 2024 when HYBE launched an audit, accusing her of attempting to take management control of ADOR. Min was fired from her CEO position four months later.
In November 2024, NewJeans held an emergency press conference to announce its intention to terminate exclusive contracts with ADOR, citing a breakdown in trust. ADOR responded with a complaint aimed at obtaining confirmation of the validity of the contract. In October 2025, the court ruled in favor of ADOR.

Although NewJeans declared a return to ADOR following the ruling, only three members Hyein, Haerin and Hanni would finalize the terms for their return. Minji remains in negotiations, while Danielle was officially expelled from the group on December 29, 2025, following a contract cancellation.
ADOR subsequently filed a lawsuit against Danielle, one of its family members, and Min Hee-jin, alleging that they played a key role in the contract dispute and delays in reforming the group. The company is seeking compensation of approximately â‚©43.1 billion. All three individuals are currently responding through legal representation.
