On January 23rd, a preview video entitled “[Preview] A story told for the first time Introducing KCM’s family” was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of KBS2’s The Return of Superman. The video featured KCM together with his wife and their second daughter, Kang Seo-yeon.
In the preview, KCM’s wife, who is nine years younger than him and works as a clerk, immediately attracted viewers’ attention with her youthful and idol-like appearance. Her images were so striking that the show’s MCs couldn’t hide their surprise, repeatedly commenting, “Is that really your wife? She’s so beautiful.”
Their second daughter, Seo-yeon, has also been introduced as a “Superman baby”, and many have noted that she looks a lot like her mother. Kim Jong-min praised her appearance, saying, “She’s so cute! She really takes after her mother.” Kim Jong-min, who revealed that he was personally close to KCM, added humor to the moment by expressing mock betrayal. “He even came to my wedding alone. It’s like being hit with a hammer. Did he get married before me?” he joked, eliciting laughter.
KCM also shared details about his children, explaining, “My first child was born in 2012 and is now a first-year middle school student. My second child is Kang Seo-yeon, born in 2022. Sometimes I think she’s a boy – she’s so energetic and wild.”
Previously, KCM revealed that he kept his marriage and the birth of his children private for almost 13 years. He explained that the decision was made to protect his family due to huge debts amounting to tens of billions of won from a joint guarantee fraud case. It was later reported that KCM officially registered his marriage four years ago.
