New documents in the ongoing lawsuit involving TAG PR, a former subsidiary of HYBE, have put Min Hee Jin and NewJeans back in the spotlight this time over explosive allegations published on a now-defunct website.
The high-profile case accuses TAG PR of operating malicious websites designed to wage smear campaigns against various public figures. Among the materials recently disclosed in court documents were references to a site called minheejin.net, which allegedly published defamatory content against ADOR’s former CEO shortly after HYBE acquired TAG PR.
According to copies of posts submitted as legal evidence, a statement on the website alleged that Min Hee Jin was “using” NewJeans members and their devoted fans to promote anti-Israel rhetoric on social media. One passage stated:
“In October 2024, Min, using his army of NewJeans Bunnies, helped launch an offensive account on – excerpt attributed to minheejin.net
Although minheejin.net is no longer active, screenshots of these incendiary statements quickly circulated across social platforms. Fans, particularly within the global K-pop community, have largely dismissed the accusation rather than taking it at face value. In many fandom spaces, especially in the context of ongoing humanitarian concerns in Gaza, fans have been vocal about political issues, and interpretations of such activity vary widely.
Adding complexity to the situation are long-standing criticisms of HYBE’s perceived political positions, including statements about his affiliations and responses (or lack thereof) to fan concerns, which have occasionally triggered a negative reaction from fans. These broader tensions have shaped how fans interpret incendiary allegations involving the likes of NewJeans.
At this stage, the allegations in the TAG PR case are part of a legal battle over reputational damage and misconduct related to third-party web activity. Neither Min Hee Jin nor NewJeans have been implicated in wrongdoing by any official authority, and the matter remains tied to the larger lawsuit against TAG PR rather than established facts.
