On January 23, Ilgan Sports reported that Park Na Rae was seen on January 21 outside a makgeolli brewing technology academy in central Seoul. She arrived with a male acquaintance and spoke briefly to reporters, explaining: “I’m here for class. It starts early, so I need to come in.” and added, “I thought I should do something… anything.” He reportedly attended class for about an hour and a half before returning home.
Due to controversy over her previous management, Park Na Rae is currently without an official manager. As a result, she was accompanied by a trusted male acquaintance who helped her handle work-related issues. Descriptions of the man, about 180cm tall, with a clean and striking appearance, fueled curiosity and rumors online.
Speaking to the outlet, the man shared information about Park Na Rae’s current state, saying that she is struggling emotionally and carefully chose a learning environment where she could focus and find relief. “He needed a place to focus and reset emotionally,” he explained, noting that the class was chosen after careful consideration.
As speculation grew, some suggested that the two may be romantically involved. However, a source close to Park Na Rae strongly denied the rumours, telling Xports News, “He’s not her boyfriend. He’s a personal manager who helps her with work.”
Park Na Rae has been embroiled in a legal dispute with her former managers since November last year. The conflict escalated after they announced plans to sue for damages and requested the provisional seizure of the property. The former executives reported workplace harassment, proxy prescriptions and unpaid production expenses during their tenures.
In response, Park Na Rae hit back, accusing them of attempted extortion and embezzlement, saying they were demanding large sums based on false claims. As the legal battle continues, Park Na Rae appears to be focusing on healing and self-care.
