K-pop girl group Billlie will make a full comeback later this month with their pre-release single “cloud Palace ~ false wakening,” out on January 27 at 6pm KST, agency Mystic Story has confirmed.
According to the company, “cloud Palace ~ false waking” will arrive as a digital single and serve as a pre-release track for Billlie’s next album, marking the start of the group’s activities in 2026.
The song is being promoted as a key project in Billlie’s expanding history, with the group aiming to strengthen their image as a “conceptual K-pop icon” through detailed narratives, performances and visuals, according to allkpop.
Billlie shared the first teaser content, titled “GRANT OF ADMITTANCE”, on her official social media channels on January 19th. The short video shows a pavilion floating in the clouds and a surreal landscape, along with a short audio clip of the new single.
The teaser also features the group’s “Billlie & Lovers” character designs, which tie into their existing lore, along with new characters that hint at new plot lines in the upcoming album.
The single continues the narrative first explored in the 2022 mini album “The Collective Soul and Incosciente: Chapter One,” which included the fan-favorite “GingaMingaYo (the strange world).” “Cloud Palace ~ False Wakening” is described as the next chapter in that story and will serve as the pre-release single to “The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter Two.” soompi reported.
The track shares its title with a previously unreleased song that Billlie performed at the “Homecoming Day with Belllie’ve” fourth anniversary mini fan meeting in November, after which fans strongly requested an official release.
This return is especially noteworthy because it will be Billlie’s first return with the entire group in more than a year, following their October 2024 EP “appendix: Of All We Have Lost”, which was promoted with all seven members.
The group consists of Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Sheon, Siyoon and Haruna, who are now resuming activities together after previous individual breaks for health and personal reasons.
In recent years, Billlie has expanded her international profile through performances in Japan, the United States, the Middle East and Spain, and appearances on the Apple TV+ music program “KPOPPED”, where they showcased collaborations with Western artists.
With “Cloud Palace ~ False Awakening”, Billlie is expected to open a new phase in their ongoing storyline and set the tone for their next album, with more teasers and detailed comeback schedules to be released in the coming days, as per chosun.
