BIGBANG member Daesung has announced the premature end of his D’s Wave Encore Asia tour due to throat health problems.
On January 17, 2026, D-Label, R&D Company’s Daesung agency, informed fans that the tour would end after the Osaka concert scheduled for later this month, canceling all remaining dates originally scheduled for the first half of 2026.
The decision came after consulting medical professionals who advised to prioritize the artist’s vocal health
Daesung’s agency released a statement thanking fans for their support during Asia Tour 2025: D’s Wave and its encore series. The tour originally kicked off in Seoul on April 26, 2025, hitting 11 cities across Asia, including stops in Hong Kong, Kobe and Sydney, according to allkpop.
The encore concerts began with three sold-out shows in Seoul from January 2 to 4, 2026 at TicketLink Live Arena.
The singer also personally apologized to fans through his official platform, expressing frustration that his voice did not return to normal conditions as quickly as he had hoped.
“My voice doesn’t return to its normal condition as quickly as I would like, which leads me to spend my days fretting in frustration,” Daesung wrote. He added that sometimes you have to “face reality and endure moments of suffering in order to shine more when the time is right,” he added. Herald of Korea reported.
Daesung had previously battled throat problems during the Seoul encore performances, admitting he considered canceling the show, but recovered after his voice returned once he took the stage. Despite these difficulties, he performed two-hour shows featuring 20 songs, including BIGBANG hits and solo numbers.
The tour cancellation comes as BIGBANG prepares for its highly anticipated 20th anniversary comeback in 2026, including a performance at Coachella in April.
BIGBANG member Taeyang made a guest appearance during the Seoul shows, hinting at the group’s upcoming activities. The group, now composed of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, will reunite for their first performance since 2017, as per The beat.
This marks the second cancellation for Daesung’s D’s Wave tour, as the Melbourne concert was previously canceled in July 2025. Fans who purchased tickets for the canceled encore dates will receive refund information from the tour organizers.
