On January 16, Chinese newspaper Sohu reported that the post-divorce feud between actors Bao Jianfeng and Huang Huiyi had become the hottest topic in Chinese entertainment. Huang Huiyi went live for hours, publicly accusing her ex-husband of infidelity and detailing their turbulent marriage in an emotionally charged broadcast.
According to Huang, Bao Jianfeng initially lied about his age to pursue her. In fact, the actor known for Love Game in Eastern Fantasy is seven years younger than Huang. Although shocked to learn the truth, she said she chose to ignore the deception because she was deeply in love. Around 2000, she claimed, Bao hurt her again by cheating on her before the wedding. Fearing the scandal would come to light, Bao allegedly flew to Guangzhou during the Lunar New Year, got down on one knee during a family dinner and asked her to marry him. Under pressure from his parents, Huang reluctantly agreed and kept his infidelity a secret.
In late August 2001, the couple officially registered their marriage, but no wedding ceremony followed. Huang revealed that Bao only brought her parents and two close friends from Shanghai to Guangzhou for a small family meal, and that he didn’t even buy her a wedding dress. After the wedding, Bao allegedly asked Huang to stop acting and forbade her from telling anyone that they were married. Out of love, he obeyed.
Huang said he later discovered Bao’s true calculating and disloyal nature. After becoming famous thanks to Shining Teenagers, Bao reportedly filed for divorce, kicked her out of the house and claimed he no longer loved her. The most devastating blow, Huang said, was learning that Bao remarried He Jiahao almost immediately after finalizing the divorce, revealing that she had been cheated on for the second time.
Heartbroken and disillusioned with marriage, Huang never remarried. Years later, when he began sharing his life online, he claimed to discover that Bao’s current wife had defamed his reputation by paying for defamatory articles. “Because of him, my suffering only grew. First it was him, then his wife who hurt me,” Huang sobbed during the livestream.

The explosive broadcast sent Chinese social media into shock, attracting more than 50 million viewers. In response, Bao Jianfeng announced that he had hired lawyers and would sue Huang. Refusing to back down, Huang said she was ready to face Bao and his wife in court to determine the truth. The public now anxiously awaits the next chapter in this fierce, no-holds-barred legal and emotional battle.
Born in 1975, Bao Jianfeng rose to national fame with his role as Gu Yue Tao in Shining Teenagers and became a familiar face on prime-time television. He is well known to the public through popular series such as The Prince of Qin, Li Shimin, Warriors of the Yang Clan, Legend of the Naga Pearls, and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
