Actor I’m insideindicted on propofol-related charges, was sentenced to one year in prison and held in court.
On September 3, the 25th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court sentenced Yoo to one year in prison and a fine of KRW 2,000,000 (~$1,489.70 USD) in the first trial on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Law, smoking and inciting the use of marijuana, and inciting the destruction of evidence.
Previously, the prosecution had requested a four-year prison sentence, a fine of KRW 2,000,000 (~$1,489.70 USD), and a surcharge of KRW 1,540,000 (~$1.147,03 US DOLLAR).
Yoo Ah In was indicted in October 2023 on charges of habitually administering medical propofol 181 times under the guise of anesthesia for cosmetic surgery at hospitals from September 2020 to March 2022.
He was also charged with illegally purchasing 1,100 sleeping pills in the name of third parties, 44 times from May 2021 to August 22.
