Danielle’s emotional message regarding Min Hee Jin’s firing made headlines.
Previously, on August 27, ADOR officially announced that Min Hee Jin would no longer be the CEO of the company. The role was also given to Kim Joo Young, a human resources expert. However, Min Hee Jin would still work as an internal director and work with NewJeans production.
Following the removal, an internal struggle ensued between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, with the former’s legal representatives arguing that the dismissal was an unfair move.
Adding fuel to the fire, some of NewJeans’ online lore has been removed. Dolphiners Films director Shin Woo Seok also took to Instagram and shared that the team would no longer be able to work with ADOR and NewJeans due to ADOR’s new policies, leading netizens to speculate that HYBE was “sabotaging” the group.

With all the conflicts going on, it is not surprising that members have been touched by the ongoing issues and discussions.
On September 3, Korean news agency Joynews24 reported NewJeans member Danielle’s message on fan platform Phoning, in which she expressed her feelings regarding Min Hee Jin’s dismissal as ADOR CEO.

Danielle said she was going through a tough time with the changes. However, despite the hardships, the idol assured fans of her unwavering love and gratitude, as well as that of NewJeans.

“Our Bunnies must have been very worried and confused. I’m going through a difficult time and worrying a lot after CEO Min Hee Jin was fired. I was in a bit of a mental mess for a while and very anxious. But there wasn’t a day that I didn’t think of my fans.
I always want to show the Bunnies their positive and happy side, but don’t forget that we will always be grateful to our fans.”

In addition to Danielle, her bandmate Minji also shared her thoughts on the conflict between HYBE and ADOR, as well as its impact on the group, on social media.
In other news, Danielle interacted with fans during a phone-in broadcast on May 8, when she addressed the Bunnies’ concerns over the idol appearing quieter than usual during NewJeans’ Minji birthday live broadcast.
“Some rabbits were worried because I was quieter, I am grateful for your concern and support“, Danielle shared. “Even though my heart is heavy during this time, don’t worry. We are training hard and getting ready for you, Bunnies..”
