Taiwanese pop icon Jolin Tsai has once again proven why she remains one of Asia’s most innovative live performers after footage of her singing on a giant snake-head-shaped stage went viral on social media.
The video, filmed during the opening leg of his “Pleasure” world tour in Taipei, quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of comments, with fans praising the scope, symbolism and visual ambition of the performance.
The concert series took place from December 30 to January 1 at a major stadium in Taipei, marking the official launch of Tsai’s latest tour. Each evening attracted around 40,000 participants, for a total of 120,000 spectators in three shows.
At the center of the show was a 30 meter long snake-shaped installation, operated live by several crew members circling the platform. The colossal prop became the most talked about visual element of the tour, with audiences calling it “cinematic”, “fearless” and “unlike anything seen before at Asian pop concerts”.
According to Taiwanese media outlet Next Apple, Tsai invested around NT$900 million (about $24 million) in producing the tour, making it one of the most expensive concert projects ever staged by a Mandarin pop artist.
In addition to the snake, the show featured other large-scale moving structures, including bull, pig, and butterfly motifs, reinforcing the tour’s surreal and symbolic aesthetic. Fans and critics alike highlighted the immersive visuals as the live show’s strong point.

After the show, Tsai expressed her gratitude to her creative team, thanking them for turning her bold concepts into reality.
Now 45, Jolin Tsai continues to defy industry expectations. Widely considered Taiwan’s most successful pop singer, she has consistently ranked among the island’s highest-earning artists. In addition to her powerful voice, Tsai is celebrated for her precise choreography and advanced performance skills, including pole dancing.

He maintains a huge global fan base, with over 42 million followers on Weibo alone.
Although Tsai has kept her personal life private in recent years, her professional influence remains undeniable. Decades into her career, the “Queen of C-Pop” continues to set new benchmarks for live entertainment in Asia.
