VANNER Confirms Comeback in September 2024 Without Member Sungkook
On August 31, it was revealed that the group would be making their long-awaited comeback with a new album. However, this comeback will be slightly different from their previous ones, as will not feature the original five-member lineup. Sungkook, one of the group’s members, is currently serving in the military, which leaves the group temporarily promoting as a four-member unit.
In addition to their upcoming album, VANNER also plans to release an English single before the album’s release, demonstrating their versatility and aiming to reach a wider international audience.
This September comeback marks the first VANNER without Sungkook, who enlisted in the military in May. Despite the challenges that come with a member’s absence, Sungkook’s commitment to the group was evident even before his enlistment. KLAP Entertainment, the agency that manages VANNER, confirmed that Sungkook had committed to completing all of his scheduled commitments, including attending the group’s concert in Korea, prior to his enlistment.
“VANNER’s Sungkook will serve his military service as an active duty soldier in the army after completing basic training at a training center. [starting] Tuesday, May 7,” the statement read. “Until his enlistment, Sungkook plans to carry out his scheduled activities, including VANNER’s national concert,” continuous.
