In a heartwarming move, ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) will extend the group’s activities until March 2025, according to an official statement from their agency WAKEONE on December 1. Originally formed through Mnet’s survival show The planet of boys in 2023, the nine-member project team was expected to disband in January 2025 after 2 years and 6 months of promotions. However, fans now have two more months to enjoy the group’s synergy as a complete unit.
The agency stressed that the extension reflects the members’ deep affection for the team and its fans. “The members reached a mutual agreement to extend the activities as a full group as a sign of sincere gratitude towards the fans who supported them,” WAKEONE said.
Led by Sung Hanbin, the group includes Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Han Yujin, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae and Park Gunwook, all from different agencies but united under one banner. Since debut, ZB1 has released six consecutive albums that have sold millions of copies and gained significant global popularity.
In September, during the presentation of their first full album, the members hinted at ongoing internal discussions: “We are in extensive discussions about the best direction to follow moving forward. We believe our decision will reflect the wishes of our fans and audiences,” they shared.
With the extension of the activity confirmed, ZEROBASEONE plans to conclude its journey with an encore concert of the world tour entitled “HERE AND NOW” and the release of a new album. However, details regarding their post-March 2025 plans remain under wraps.
