Taiwanese actor Shih Po‑Yu, who became famous thanks to his role in the drama A day or a dayis now under scrutiny for allegedly prioritizing a date over professional commitments. Reports reveal that Shih left a drama set mid-production after claiming to be ill only to be caught on a date with his new girlfriend just two days later.
The accident occurred during the filming of a big-budget historical fantasy series, which had invested heavily in its production. Shih collapsed on set due to poor ventilation and was hospitalized, after which he requested sick leave to recover. However, instead of resting, he was publicly seen out and about, reportedly looking energetic and healthy.
Crew members were enraged, stating that Shih’s absence forced the team to rearrange scenes and delay production. One member reportedly described it as “a rich and spoiled boy” and said they would refuse to work with him again.
Adding to the controversy, Shih had recently ended a brief relationship with actress Lee Mu and was soon spotted with a new partner. This almost instantaneous transition led to further speculation and criticism from the public.
