Currently, in Korea, there is a new case of alleged sexual crimes that has been collectively called “The New Nth Room”, consisting of several Telegram-based chatrooms with two different purposes.
The first to be reported were massive chatrooms aimed at humiliating women, sometimes even their family members; soon after, school chatrooms also attracted attention, used to send sexual deepfakes of classmates.

K-Pop has also recently been rocked by a sex crime scandal involving former NCT‘S Taeilwho was kicked out of the group after being accused.
Taeil’s scandal has been linked to the “New Nth Room” crimes, as unverified rumors circulated on social media falsely linking a supposed list of implicated K-Pop male idols to the “Nth Room” crimes.

Despite this being false information, born from a mix of fact and fiction, an alarming trend has emerged online.
Mostly on TikTok, users have started creating fake lists of idols “confirmed” to be on the “Nth Room” list. While there are a number of idols falsely linked to the “Nth Room,” several lists include the same idols, with some even attempting to sell a fake list.

In particular, one list includes several idols and should appear as an official notification from the news agency. The Times of Korea.
Fans of the idols mentioned in these fake lists have asked their respective agencies to intervene and help stop the spread of false information.
