Shockwaves are spreading through the entertainment industry after it was revealed that actress and After School member Nana was injured during a violent home invasion. The incident has intensified concerns as several celebrities have recently become victims of intrusions into their private residences.
On November 15, the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced the arrest of a man in his 30s on charges of attempted aggravated robbery. According to police, the suspect broke into Nana’s house in Acheon-dong at around 6 a.m., armed with a gun, and demanded money while threatening both Nana and her mother.
Nana’s agency, Sublime, confirmed the severity of the situation, saying: “*During the physical attack by the attacker, Nana’s mother suffered severe trauma and lost consciousness. Nana herself was also injured while trying to escape the crisis. At the moment, both people require medical attention and complete rest.*” The agency added that details cannot be disclosed as the investigation is ongoing, but promised to provide full support to Nana and her his family.
This is not the first case in recent months of celebrities’ homes being targeted. Previously, comedian Park Na Rae suffered a major burglary at her residence in Yongsan, Seoul, where valuables worth tens of millions of won were stolen. With no signs of a break-in, speculation quickly emerged that the culprit could be someone within her circle, leading to uncomfortable rumors involving famous friends like Han Hye Jin and Jang Do Yeon.
However, the police later confirmed that the crime had been committed by an outsider. The thief, who had a criminal record, sold the stolen items as illicit goods. Park Na Rae later reassured fans via her YouTube channel, saying that she had recovered “all items stolen without a single scratch.”

Meanwhile, BTS’ Jungkook faced a disturbing incident in August when a woman in her 40s drove into the parking lot of his house. Jungkook caught the intruder on CCTV and immediately reported her. He then said live: “I was watching everything on CCTV. When she heard the police arriving, she tried to open the door to the underground car park, only to find the police waiting right in front of her. He added that the woman claimed to be his friend, prompting him to respond firmly: “ARMYs are family and friends in a way, but that’s not it. I have all the proof. Everything is recorded here. If you want to get carried away, come.“

Acting couple Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung also suffered a burglary at their home in Los Angeles. According to the American agency TMZ, the thieves broke a glass door to enter the property. Lee Byung Hun was not home at the time and the break-in is believed to be part of a series of burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods in the area. Lee Byung Hun’s agency BH Entertainment noted that no significant property damage occurred.
With incidents piling up at an alarming rate, from South Korea to the United States, both celebrities and fans are growing increasingly anxious. The increase in break-ins underlines growing concerns about security, privacy and the lengths to which criminals will go to target public figures.
