Actor Kim Jung Hyun will star in tvN’s upcoming drama Why don’t you know it’s a girl?which is scheduled to air in 2026.
As Edaily reported on November 11, Kim Jung Hyun will appear in this romantic comedy based on a popular webtoon and web novel of the same name. The series centers on a female character navigating office life and romance.
Kim Jung Hyun will play Kim Si Hyun, a corporate lawyer who works for Samgang Group’s legal team. His character is a longtime friend and legal advisor to Yoon Yi Joon, played by Im Si Wan, a third-generation chaebol and the prime suspect in the murder of his secretary.
The plot also follows Kang Jae Hee (played by Seol In Ah), a former special forces agent turned detective known for her superior strength and fighting skills, earning her the nickname “human weapon”. The series is set to mix romance and suspense as these characters get entangled in a high-profile case and workplace dynamics.
Kim Si Hyun will also share a romantic arc with Lee Hye Jung, the president’s secretary and colleague within the company, adding a layer of workplace rom-com charm to the suspenseful plot.
Kim Jung Hyun made his acting debut in 2015 with the film Superman. He gained recognition through various dramas including Don’t you dare dream, The rebel, School 2017, Welcome to Waikiki, The time, Crash landing on you, Mr Regina, Kokdu: Season of DivinityAND Iron Family. He also recently showed off his variety skills on KBS2 Heart on wheelsand made a special appearance on the JTBC drama One hundred memories.
Fans are excited to see his return to the small screen, especially alongside Im Si Wan, as the two are expected to demonstrate strong on-screen chemistry in this fresh and exciting adaptation.
