LE SSERAFIM member Kazuha spoke about her dreamy expectations of Korea, heavily influenced by her love for K-dramas, during her guest appearance on the November 11 episode of Salon drip on the TEO YouTube channel. The episode, titled “It’s November 11th. Make a Wish”, also featured group member Huh Yunjin.
Kazuha candidly shared, “I’ve always loved K-dramas and K-pop, so I had a romanticized image of Korea. I thought something like a Korean drama would happen to me, something romantic, like suddenly being overwhelmed by a ‘shalala’ moment while walking down the street.”
He revealed that the first K-drama he ever watched was Descendants of the sunand stars like Song Hye Kyo and Kim Ji Won left a lasting impression. “I thought Korea would be just like the drama. I thought people really talked like that. That’s when I also got into K-pop and fell in love with BLACKPINK.” he said.
Member Huh Yunjin also shared his struggles before debut, stating: “I trained for four years, going through four different potential rookie teams, but things never worked out. I finally decided to come back to the United States and live intensely for two months. I received a scholarship and paid tuition to my dream school.”
However, fate had other plans. “The next day, the company called me. At first I tried to act cool and said no, but in my heart I had already made up my mind. I believed that receiving that call after paying the fee meant something. I immediately changed my mind,” he recalled.
