NMIXX’s Haewon has officially earned the title of “Official Variety Idol” of JYP Entertainment, charming viewers with her wit and self-awareness during her latest appearance on Salon drip.
On November 4, YouTube channel TEO released episode 113 of its popular talk show Salon dripcharacterized NMIXX members Lily and Haewon.
During the show, host Jang Do-yeon said that JYP performers have a strong reputation for their sense of humor and on-screen chemistry.
“Many JYP artists have visited ‘Salon Drip’ and every time people talk about the lineage of the JYP variety,” Jang said. “Among them, Haewon was mentioned as someone with an extraordinary natural talent for entertainment.”
Colleague Lily agrees, saying:
“She was funny right from the start. I’ve never met anyone who made me laugh so much.”
Haewon explained that although she enjoys making people laugh, her humor often differs between on-screen and off-screen settings.
“When I’m not filming, I like to make people laugh with words. But my broadcast image is a bit chaotic,” he said, referring to his “Workdol” look. “My friends called me afterward and said, ‘What’s wrong with you? Why were you like that?'”
Haewon also described herself as an introvert (I) in MBTI terms, admitting that she gets bolder during filming.
“When the camera is on, I finally have a reason to talk. It gives me an excuse to joke without worrying that people will misunderstand me,” he said.
Jang Do-yeon agrees, adding:
“It’s really true. I also feel a little nervous when speaking without a microphone after the recording is finished.”
Their candid exchange sparked laughter among viewers and highlighted Haewon’s self-awareness and professionalism, qualities that quickly made her one of the fourth generation idols.
Haewon joins the ranks of JYP’s most beloved variety idols, following in the footsteps of Nichkhun at 2pm, TWICE’s NayeonAND Yuna from ITZY. With her natural wit, expressive reactions and confident charm, Haewon has already been praised as one of K-pop’s next prominent personalities.
