Cha Hyun Seungthe well-known dancer and actor who became famous thanks to his appearances with Sunmi and in the series “Single’s Hell” he shared a heartfelt update on his current condition following his leukemia diagnosis. On Oct. 27, he interacted with fans through a series of questions and answers on Instagram Story, giving a glimpse into his thoughts and daily life.

When asked what food she currently craves most, Cha responded with a photo of jjambbong, a popular spicy Korean noodle soup. For songs that lift his spirits, he recommends “A Flying Butterfly,” “REFUGE” and “The road of the storm.”

One fan’s message stood out, asking, “Are you okay these days? Stay healthy and don’t hang out with people who suffer from mental illness.” Cha’s response was both compassionate and mature: “They are people who suffer, not bad people” he wrote, highlighting his empathy even amid his personal struggles.

To another question about the phrase he says or thinks about most every day, he responded simply: “Eutcha” (a Korean expression similar to a sigh or grunt used when making an effort).

Just a month earlier, on September 27, Cha publicly shared that he had been diagnosed with leukemia in early June. He said he was rushed to the emergency room, which abruptly ended the momentum of his career. “I had just passed the final auditions for several projects I was passionate about, but everything stopped when I was diagnosed” he said at the time.

His announcement sparked an outpouring of support from other artists and fans. Sunmi, under whose team he performed as a backup dancer, left a supportive comment saying: “If it wasn’t extreme, it wouldn’t be you, so let’s defeat it in the most extreme way possible.”

Cha Hyun Seung he gained international popularity thanks to his charismatic presence on “Single’s Hell” (2021) and recently appeared in Dramax and Waveve’s original drama “No mercyDespite having to face such a heavy personal battle, her recent interaction with fans shows that her resilience and compassion remain as strong as ever.
