Born in 1988, actress Lee Mi-so, today known as Lee Ru-an, made her debut in 2002 with the film Season in the sun. Later, her mother posted a video on YouTube, revealing that she had finally spoken to Lee, but the conversation left her shattered. “She told me she married a rich, educated man from a good family. She said she had to keep it a secret because she was ashamed of me and her family didn’t want me there.”
Bursting into tears, he added: “He yelled at me, told me to ‘just die,’ said he was ashamed and threatened to sue me if I revealed his marriage or showed up at his house.”
He concluded with a heartbreaking statement: “I speak out despite his threats because I feel like I’m about to explode. Lee Ru-an, don’t come looking for me anymore. Delete me from your family registry. I don’t want to be associated with you in any way.”
