The actor Park Bo-Gum has again enchanted the global audience this time dressed with Hanbok, the traditional clothing of Korea, for the “2025 Hanbok Wave” countryside.
The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism (MCST) has revealed new images of Park Bo-Gum on October 6 through its official accounts on social media, celebrating Chuseook with a special series of photos of Hanbok created in collaboration with four important designers.
“Is it really the Bo-Gum park? It seems that it just came out of a fantasy game”, Fans commented, comparing his images with a “K-Pop Demon Hunter” character.
THE Hanbok Wave The project brings together renowned designers of Hanbok and Korean cultural icons to reinvent traditional clothing for a modern and global audience.
The past campaigns have been described Kim Tae-Ri (2024), Suzy (2023) e Kim Yuna (2022) But 2025 marks the first time that a male model led the project, highlighting the elegance and strength of the male Hanbok through the image of Park Bo-Gum.
The participating designers include:
- Dadadahanbok (but soo-jin)-embroidered hibiscus who symbolizes dignity and grace.
- Mureut (Kang Na-Rae)-Curve Maniche and folded details inspired by Cheollik, traditional court clothing.
- Oneorigin (Kim Sung-Min)-Modern Retraction of the Gogurye era.
- Hanbokmoon (Hwang Sun-Tae) -Disegni inspired by traditional landscape paintings.
Park Bo-Gum Hanbok Pikel measures traditional symbolism with modern aesthetics, presenting a fresh and minimalist interpretation of Korean identity.
The videos and photos of the campaign were displayed simultaneously on billboards in the main cities, including: Soul (Shasegae Square, Myeongong), New York (Times Square), Milan (Piazza Duomo), Tokyo (Shinjuku), Paris (Citadium Caumartin).
These large -scale exhibitions fascinated the international public, drawing praise for having combined the Korean tradition with the global sensitivity of fashion.
Videos with Park Bo-Gum will take place until 31 October in Seoul and 12 October in Paris.
Through this collaboration, Park Bo-Gum embodies a refined masculinity rooted in the Korean heritage, redefining traditional fashion resonating with a younger and global audience.
The pictorial lightning will be published as a special edition of Harper’s Bazaar Korea On 10 October, offering fans an in -depth look at the art of the countryside.
