On August 29, Disney+ confirmed the release of the series “Made in Korea” and revealed the list of candidates for the cast. “Made in Korea” is a series that tells the story of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a man with ambitions for wealth and power during the turbulent 1970s, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), who throws everything away to stop him. The series delves into the monumental events of the era.
“Made in Korea” marks the first series directed by Woo Min-ho, known for his unique perspective on contemporary Korean history in films such as ‘The Insiders’, “The King of Drugs”AND ‘Harbin’. Hive Media Corp, which has produced works such as ‘The Insiders’, “The King of Drugs”, “Deliver us from evil”, ‘Spring in Seoul’AND ‘Beautiful boys’is responsible for production.
Hyun Bin will play Baek Ki-tae, a man driven by ambition for wealth and power, while Jung Woo-sung will play Jang Geon-young, a prosecutor with animalistic instincts and a fierce determination.
