A famous Korean streamer named Shin Tae The He spoke out recently after being implicated in the former NCT Taithe recent case of sexual assault.
On August 28, 2024, SM Entertainment released a statement announcing that Taeil would no longer be a member of NCT. It stated that he was under investigation for a sexual assault case.

After the news broke, many who were not interested in K-Pop started confusing Taeil with an internet streamer named Shin Tae Il. Shin is famous in South Korea, with over 260,000 followers on Instagram.
His original YouTube and Afreeca accounts have both been suspended over the years, leading him to only be active on Instagram. Shin Tae Il himself is known for his unsavory behavior, involving himself in illegal gambling, bitcoin, and more.
Due to Shin’s controversial nature, many were confused about the identity of the person involved in the sexual assault case. On X, a tweet posted in confusion about the news went viral with over 990,000 views.
