Former FIFTY FIFTY Members File Lawsuit Over 300 Million Won Settlement, Netizens ‘Have No Shame’

On August 27, news broke that Sio, Saena, and Aran filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong-joon, seeking compensation of 300 million won.

The lawsuit is seen as a countersuit to the 13 billion won damages lawsuit ATTRAKT filed last year against the three former members, their parents, The Givers CEO Ahn Sung-il, and others. The former members recently filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court, seeking a 301 million won compensation payment.

Coincidentally, the first hearing of ATTRAKT’s 13 billion won damage lawsuit is scheduled for August 29. Additionally, the second generation of FIFTY FIFTY, consisting of original member Keena and new members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana, and Athena, announced a new beginning.

Additionally, Sio, Saena, and Aran have recently signed new exclusive contracts with MASSIVE E&C, a subsidiary of IOK Company, and have announced plans to begin operations in the second half of the year. This has led to speculation that the conflict between the two parties is escalating.

The trio had previously raised issues regarding the agreements, which formed the basis for their request for an injunction to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts with ATTRAKT. However, the court ruled in favor of ATTRAKT and the request for an injunction by the three members, except Keena who returned to ATTRAKT, was ultimately denied.

Keena later received her first severance payment from ATTRAKT and made a positive impact by donating 10 million won to support young adults preparing for independence. Keena expressed her thoughts, “I am grateful to all those who have given me the opportunity to help in a meaningful way. I hope that young people facing a harsh world will never give up on their dreams and continue to challenge themselves..”

Regarding the former members’ action, netizens reacted negatively, saying, “Shouldn’t they deal with the damages first and then talk about agreements?”, “They have no shame”, “How cheeky”, “Are they asking to deduct it from the damages?”, “Their greed is too much” AND “Were they jealous that Keena was getting her compensation?
