On August 21, the press conference for the Amazon Prime Video series Butterfly It was held at the CGV Yongsan i’Park Mall in Seoul. Cast members Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Kim Ji-Hoon, Kim Tae-Hee and Sean Richard participated in the event.
Based on the graphic novel with the same name, Butterfly An electrifying chase follows between the former United States intelligence agent David Jung (played by Daniel Dae Kim) and Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), an active agent sent to eliminate him.
Daniel Dae Kim not only produced the series, but also played the main role. The drama boasts a stellar range of Korean stars including Kim Tae-Hee, Park Hae-Soco, Kim Na-Yoon, Kim Ji-Hoon, Sung Dong -il and Lee Il-Hwa.
Kim Ji-Hoon takes on the role of Gun, a ruthless but elegant assassin. Presenting his character, he said, “It is brutal but beautiful, with many action scenes. I think it went really well, so I hope the spectators will have fun.”
The actor revealed that he proved the role and had to face English acting. “While I showed myself, I live alone, I was preparing in my daily life. However, it was not easy. Since the gun is a reserved murderer, he does not have many lines, but I wanted to deliver every English line perfectly. I repeatedly trained with a native teacher” He explained.
He also admitted that he was surprised when Kim Tae-Hee revealed that he did not do much dubbing after filming. Kim Ji-Hoon caused a laugh while he commented, “It must have been really good in English. I had to do a lot.”
Butterfly It consists of six episodes and will be previewed on Tvn from 22 August, broadcast every Friday and Saturday at 22:40 for the Korean public.
