The 12 -minute film, 12 seconds, presented on August 14, is part of “KB Kookmin Bank”Korea has lived“Campaign. In it, Kim Nam-Gil joins Professor Seo Kyung-Du of the Sungshin Women’s University to guide the spectators through reference points of the hidden independence movement scattered through Soul. The Corean language version was published for the first time, with an English version set to be loaded next week.
The video introduces historically significant sites such as the village of Bukchon preserved by the master builder Jeong Se-Gwon: the Dilkusha house once inhabited by Albert Taylor and the Museum of Literature Yun Dong-Ju dedicated to the beloved poet. Professor SEO expressed his desire “Promote the sites of the Movement for the least known independence in the heart of the city”.
Kim Nam-Gil encouraged the national and international audience to watch the video and, if possible, “Visit these historical places personally”.
Professor SEO has also been active internationally, collaborating with the Hye-Kyo actress for 14 years to donate guides in Korean language, Hangul insignia and rescue art of activists for independence at 38 foreign heritage sites. This year, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Korea, the duo distributed 10,000 guides of Korean history throughout the island of Saipan and Tinian.
