August 21st Netflix Pop star Academy has been added to the platform catalog. Popstar Academy is a docuseries that follows the formation of the international girl group formed in K-Pop KATEYE.
The series documented the journey before the start of the Dream Academy series, introducing some new faces. The pop star Academy also gave a more emotional look at the program, also showing the conflicts between the girls.
After the show’s release, many felt that the conflict surrounding it Big hand and the other members have portrayed several of them in a negative light, which may have negative repercussions on their growth so soon after debuting.

Looking at some of the group’s statistics, it appears that the opposite actually happened.
First, the group’s YouTube account saw a spike in new followers in the days following the series’ release. Views of their channel’s content also saw an increase.
Subsequently, all of their social media accounts saw an increase in followers, but it is on their Instagram account that the growth is most evident.
After the show came out, KATSEYE began seeing an increase in followers of over 20k per day.
