On the morning of 11 August, the press conference for the Netflix series Wednesday Season 2 was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Jonno, Seoul. The director Tim Burton, together with the main actress Jenna Ortega and the co-protagonist Emma Myers, participated in the event to share insights on season 2.
Jenna Ortega, who resumes her role as an iconic Wednesday Addams, revealed that she also assumed the role of executive producer for the new season. Speaking of the experience, Ortega expressed his excitement:
“It was a great experience. I felt that our collaborative relationship has naturally deepened” he said.
The actress explained that the change in responsibilities allowed her to be more involved in modeling the narrative. “We had many discussions on the plot and on the general arch from a higher level perspective. Compared to the first season, I was much more involved and starting filming with a deep understanding of the project really helped my performance. Personally, it seemed to me a secret door for me: it was a unique and fun experience.”
Wednesday It has become a global feeling after having accumulated over 1.7 billion visualization hours, with the record for the global title of all times of TV 10 (English) of Netflix. Season 2 presented a preview of part 1 on August 6, with part 2 scheduled for the release on September 3.
