On May 14, FNC Entertainment confirmed that Jung was chosen in the next romantic comedy This lousy love (working title). The series follows the love story of ardent coexistence between Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a former gangster who became boxing coach and Ko Eun-Sae (Hayoung), a prosecutor suffering from Amnesia.
Directed by Kim Jang-Han (Do you like Brahms?, My demon) and written by Mo Ji-Hye (You pull me up), the drama promises a new mixture of gritty tension, emotional healing and unexpected laughs.
Jung’s character, Jang Tae-Ha, once a youth boxing star in birth, moved away in the underworld after the collapse of his dreams. In the end he leaves the gang life to manage a modest gym, but one last job leads him to cross the paths with his first love, Eun-Sae, who no longer remembers him. Stating that he is his boyfriend, Tae-Ha undertakes a dangerous and emotional journey fueled by fault, desire and unfinished business.
The role of Hayung as Eun-Sae adds a clear contrast. A fierce anti -corruption prosecutor in the central district of Soul, loses memory while investigating a violent gang. After waking up in a rural hospital, he meets Tae-Ha, who intertwines a love story manufactured with each other as they begin to live under the same roof.
This will be Jung’s first major acting project after its apparition of varieties on MBC Good day In April, where he surprised fans with his humor and charm. However, with the recent turbulence at the sector level caused by the Kim Soo-Hyun scandal, Jung seems to redirect his attention to narrative work, consolidating his foot as a versatile actor.
