What happened to Day6 in Jakarta … JYP says: “We take full responsibility with a heavy heart”

The 4th, Jyp Entertainment (below called JYP) published official excuses on his SNS, stating: “First of all, we sincerely apologize to the fans who appreciate the day6 for having aroused concern.

The agency explained, “On May 3, the Day6 held their third concert of the world tour in Jakarta. In the coordination process with the local promoter to solve problems, the operation did not continue without hitches. Due to poor management and insufficient security measures on site during bad weather, sound control and the beginning of the main services were delayed beyond the scheduled time.

They continued, “We apologize sincerely with the fans who have had to wait a lot of time in an unpleasant time and also with the artists who made their best for fans despite difficult circumstances. We feel a strong sense of responsibility for this issue.

The agency added, “In the future, we promise to do our best to take care of the artists so that they can focus exclusively on their performances in the best possible conditions and to monitor the situation on site thoroughly so that fans can enjoy the concert comfortably and without inconvenience.

Day6 and their JYP agency had signed a contract with the local promoter Mecima and rented the Jakarta International Stadium. However, Mecima later he notified them a change of location at the Gelora Bulg Karno Madya stadium, citing a scheduled football match at the original location. However, the football match was canceled, raising questions.

In addition, Mecima did not correctly manage the ticket transfers due to the change of location, nor have they adequately managed the operations on the day of the concert, but did not issue official excuses. To worsen things, the strong rains occurred locally, leading to a flood of complaints and protests by Jakarta’s fans and the situation also negatively influenced the day6.
