The recent Day6 concert in Jakarta, which is part of theirs “Forever Young” World Tour, was obscured by a significant fans protest. Hundreds of fans gathered out of the club, expressing their frustration for a change of last minute seat and dangerous weather conditions that compromised their safety.
Originally scheduled on an internal headquarters, the concert was transferred to an open roof stadium due to a programming conflict with a local football match. This decision, announced a few weeks before the event, raised concerns among fans on the potential exposure to the unpredictable time of Indonesia. Despite these concerns, the Mecima Pro organizer proceeded without offering adequate reimbursement or emergency plans.
On the day of the concert, the participants faced strong thunderstorms, strong rains and strong winds. Many searched for refuge under temporary curtains, which eventually collapsed under hard time, putting fans at risk of injuries. Inside the headquarters, the videos circulated showing the representative of Mecima Pro sitting comfortably in the front row, dry and unchanged, further fueling the anger of the fan.
People protest out that way
I am tired of my day since the waiting of my day
I’m sorry for the sixth day, so I don’t know what to do
Does it make sense to sit in the first line? Too bad, don’t do it again https://t.co/z60p6J64Dy pic.twitter.com/wy8dzybfdx– Audi (@from_odik) May 3, 2025
While the concert proceeded, the videos of the protest outside became viral, depicting the fans singing and asking for responsibilities. Inside, the Day6 members appeared visibly distressed, with some visa apologies with the fans during the show. When the group welcomed the fans, the crowd also shouted loudly “NO”shocking the members.
Reports also indicated that the band and their team faced the Mecima Pro staff for the abuse of the event. Starting now, neither Day6 nor Mecima Pro have released an official declaration that turns to the accident.
