Recently, the MV for “Severity,” The second single of the group M4pwith adorable members Molang, More more, Shiny Pinco, Moody Pinco & Sweetie Pinco has been officially released April 23, 2025. With its brilliant graphics and edifying energy, the video quickly captured the hearts of Molang and M4P fans around the world.
On this special occasion, we had the opportunity to sit with the creative team behind Molang and the M4P project to learn more about their trip and on future plans.
Interview
1. Can you share the meaning behind the name M4P and why was it chosen for this new chapter of Molang?
M4P stands for “Molang for Pincos”! Show Molang’s love for fans, the “pincos”. In addition, “Pinco” also means “friend” in Moluguase, making it funny with words since there are four pincos in the group together with Molang!
2. Each member of M4P seems to embody a unique personality and an emotional tone. Could you guide us through the traits that define every character and the intentions behind them?
Each member reflects a different emotion: Molang embodies kindness, the more the more focus on fire, shimmering is all about ambition, Moody explores vulnerability and Sweetie is only pure joy. It is a way to connect to every mood you could hear.
3. The universal language of Molang, “Moluguase”, adds a unique charm to the character. What was the creative thinking behind the development of a language in its own right?
Molanguese was created so that anyone, everywhere, could understand Molang emotionally without the need for words. It is before feelings!

It seemed a natural step. Molang has always talked to all ages, so moving to the Kidult space made sense when the brand grew.
5 Is the goal of positioning M4P is an “comfort brand” or a cultural icon for Gen Z and Millennials?
M4P concerns the creation of comforting and stimulating moments with fans while they look like Figi for Gen Z and Millennials.
6. Molang M4P is part of a wider brand ecosystem you are building or an autonomous creative experiment within the Molang universe?
M4P is part of a larger Molang ecosystem! It is a new creative branch that is expanding what Molang can be. But it is still deeply connected to the original spirit.
7. There were important creative discoveries or unexpected challenges that modeled the management of the M4P project during development?
A large turning point was to make that we did not have to “force” M4P to adapt to a mold. Molang’s kindness and fun DNA was sufficient to evolve naturally in music.
8. How did Molang’s perception evolved over time, especially when the brand has expanded from the contents of children in a wider lifestyle and an emotional brand?
Initially, Molang, with the TV series, was mainly for children, but over time it became a lifestyle and an emotional brand for all ages.
9. How has Fan Molang’s base respond to M4P so far? Have you seen an increase in the involvement by K-Pop fans or new public who discover Molang through this concept?
The answer was fantastic! We have seen many new K-pop world fans, in addition to Molang’s longtime fans to see this fresh and musical side.
10. Molang has become popular all over the world. What makes Molang so special and loved by people of all ages and how do you think it will remain popular in the future?
Molang’s magic is in its simplicity and warmth, speaks to a pure feeling that does not age. As long as people crave joy and kindness, Molang will be here to stay!
11. Are there plans for future musical versions, fans of fans or collaborations between M4P and actual k-pop idols?
YES! We will take more music, special events and we are certainly dreaming of collaborations with real k-pop idols. Stay tuned!

Who is Molang?
Molang is a beloved character recognized all over the world for his round, white and infinitely cheerful appearance. Often seen with his best friend, the little yellow chick plus more, Molang represents positivity, kindness, warmth and happiness. Created by the Korean illustrator Hye Ji Yoon as simple digital doodles in 2010, Molang was subsequently created by the French animation study Millimages, finally transforming himself into a popular animated series transmitted into almost 200 countries.
One of the reasons why Molang is so attractive is its universal design. The character is intentionally ageless, neutral of genus and free from any specific nationality, making it comparable to the public from all over the world. Molang and his friends speak their unique language, “Molchose”, which further highlights their global charm. In addition to the animated series, Molang has become a large brand of life and a sensation of social media, accumulating billions of online views and a wide range of goods.
What is “Molang M4P”? A K-Pop touch
Recently, you may have met the term “Molang M4p” connected to the character. It is important to note that this “M4P” associated with Molang has no link with the obsoleto MP4 audio format Once used by the Apple iTunes store.
Instead, “Molang M4P” seems to be an identifier of the specific brand or the project title created by the Molang team for a K-Pop themed initiative. This is supported by information by the official Molang channels:
- Products: The official backgrounds are clearly labeled such as “M4P-Kpop wallpapers” and objects such as T-shirts and cups are also part of the “M4P” K-Pop collection.
- Social Media: Hashtags like #M4P and #Kpop are often used together on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Sometimes, the Molang M4P content even attracts specific K-Pop trends or mentions popular k-pop artists.
- Images: Pinterest shows “Molang-Caratteri M4P” represented as K-Pop-style commercial cards.
“Molang M4P” represents a campaign or a sub-multi inspired by dedicated k-pop within the Molang universe, in which Molang and the more they embrace the appearance, the sensation and the formats of the K-pop culture. It is a fun and creative way for the brand to remain in tune with current trends and connect with a wider and more global audience.
Who is the Molang M4P production team?
Millimages, the animation study behind the TV series Molang, also produces all the new content shared on Molang’s social media, supervised by the Millimages digital team (including myself as head of Digital and Ilona Giusti as head of social media). The K-Pop M4P (Molang for Pincos) group is a creative project developed by this team to connect the molar fandom already close to the global K-pop community.
All videos of content and musical M4P are produced by Kingsize, a 3D production company and also supervised by the Millimages digital team.
