He declared himself not guilty.
Japanese actor Kamimura Kenshin He appeared in an Hong Kong court this week after dealing with serious accusations of trying a local woman inappropriately. The popularity of the 25 -year -old actor had recently met new heights before the accusations, thanks to his appearance in a BL series.
The alleged accident took place on March 2 in a Mong Kok restaurant. Kamimura is accused of indecent aggression for attempting a woman, cited in the court documents as “X”, in a headquarters located on the third floor of 180 Portland Street. The woman was presumably an interpreter in her fanmeeting and Kamimura was promptly expelled from her group following the accusations.
According to local media, Kamimura was visibly emotional during the hearing. He stood on the pier with the hand he tightened and, at a certain point, broke crying. When the magistrate asked if he needed a break, he replied first in Japanese who did not, then reassured the court in Cantonese, saying: “All right.“
Despite the nature of the case, the Court has seen a significant turnout. At 6 in the morning, the lines had already formed outside the court. At 8 in the morning, about 80 people were collected, many of them fans from Japan. Some were seen transporting luggage, suggesting that they had traveled to Hong Kong specifically for the hearing.
In response to the crowd, the authorities have opened a courtroom to host the public and distributed over 170 tickets for access to the classroom. The police were also present to manage the situation.
The defense declared that he was prepared for the trial and Kamimura confirmed his non -guided appeal in Japanese. The accusation has announced its intention to call two eye witnesses and will not be based on any confession. The defense can also present one or two witnesses.
The alleged victim will apply to testify through the television broadcast, but the defense has raised an objection to this method. The judge will make his decision later.
The trial is scheduled for July 30 to August 1st. Kamimura will remain on bail until the beginning of the procedure.
