Kang Myung-Joo played Bu-Yong, the mother of Young-BEOM (Lee Jun-Young), who was the boy of Geum-Myeong (IU), daughter of the protagonist Ae-Soon (played by Iu and Moon So -ri). He offered a powerful performance as the most formidable antagonist of the drama, gaining praise for his representation.
“When life gives you Mandarini” was also the final work of Kang Myung-Joo. The actress died on March 27 after fighting cancer, just ten days before the series’s release.
