Kyp Entertainment of K-Pop Jyp on Wednesday issued a severe warning against an individual who chased the members of his popular group of girls twice, adding that he would take a strong legal action if the person refused to stop the behavior.

Jyp Entertainment did not apply the stalker, but the talents management agency said that the individual sent letters with inappropriate content and photos to the members twice. The Stalker had also mentioned that they were constantly falter around the workplace and the residential areas of twice. These have caused psychological damage and anxiety among the members of the group.

In response, Jyp Entertainment has observed that it has already implemented improved security measures to ensure the safety of its artists. The company also stressed that it is willing to undertake a strong legal action against the stalker if they do not stop their behavior, observing that violating the act of South Korea on the punishment of the law on stalking crimes. According to this law, actions such as persistently approaching someone close to their residence or in the workplace against their will, as well as the sending of unwanted letters, images or objects, are classified as stalking and are subject to serious legal consequences.

“We would like to underline once again that these actions are in clear violation of the desires of the artists. If the individual does not immediately interrupt the aforementioned stalking behavior, we will take all possible legal actions available using the strongest methods, without any clemency or regulation”, reads the note.

This is not the first time that twice he has dealt with such problems. In a high profile case since January 2020, a German stalker has tried to approach Nayeon on a flight from Japan to South Korea. The man, who had published that he wanted to meet Nayeon on social media, managed to book the same flight and has tried several times to reach it. Following this accident, Nayeon was put under the police protection and Jyp Entertainment announced that they would take the highest level of legal action against the stalker.
