Lisa has been accused of black fishing, which is widely considered as cultural appropriation. Some social media users have accused her of using dark skin tone, wide clothes and the accent of blacks for rap songs and pale skin tone and the cute voice for pop songs.
Fans defend Lisa
Between the repercussions, the fans intervened to defend Lisa, claiming that his natural leather proud remained unchanged during the promotional filming of Rockstar. They argue that the final images have been modified by the photographer to give it a tanned complexion.
The supporters also stressed that the photographer responsible for Teaser Rockstar has a history of alteration of the skin tones of various post-production artists.
Controversies of the past K-Pop racism
Lisa is not the first k-pop idol to face accusations of racism and charging culture. In 2013, Miss A was criticized for the Photoshopping Rick Ross rapper in a parody image of his colleague Idol Sunmi.
In the same way, in 2019, Sorn of CLC received a repercussions to publish a photo with a friend who wears a black mask. Among the controversy, Sorn apologized publicly.
As the discussions on cultural appropriation continue, the Lisa team has not yet responded to the dispute.
